Make sure your sims look awesome with the best gaming PCs right now.Įmotional Inertia, redesigned just for this collection, stops your Sims' moods flipping on and off like a light switch.
The mod works with the base game, but some options rely on specific packs: you can't send Sims for take-out ice cream if you don't own the Cool Kitchen Stuff pack, for example. Sims will also randomly explore if you don't intervene, which is neat. Their skills and motives will change based on the activity you choose, and you can tell your Sim to "Explore With" another character if you want to improve relations. You can send them shopping (they'll come back with new clothes), to dance classes, to local attractions, to gambling spots, to take on some part-time work, and more.
Once your Sims have visited the DMV for a license or bus pass, you can send them exploring just by clicking on them, which brings up a radial wheel of options. This mod from KawaiiStacie adds a bunch of rabbit hole actions-activities your Sims can do on their own without you following-that activate buffs or improve your Sims' relationships with those closest to them. Now, whenever you’ve made a couple of changes to your mod, you can quickly add your Sim to the career path and click your way straight up, to see if the Career works as you designed it.(Image credit: Electronic Arts, Maxis / Modded by KawaiiStacie) This menu allows you to add a Sim to a career, as well as promote and demote them, and a bunch of other things. To cheat on your career, go to Cheat Sim Info. A pie menu will appear with a tonne of extra options visible. Once the white box appears, type testingcheats on.Open the console with Left CTRL+Shift+C.I think you also need to have testingcheats enabled. The cheats we’ve just enabled are always part of the Sims game, but you need MCCC to make them visible and useable by the player. You will now have to exit restart your Sims game entirely. MCCC Settings > Notification/Console/Menu Settings > Console Command Settings > Debug Commands in Cheats.MCCC Settings > Notification/Console/Menu Settings > Console Command Settings > Testing Cheats.Navigate to the two sections below, and set both to Enabled. (It’s good practice when Modding to always create a new game, new household, basically in case your mod goes disasterously wrong, you don’t want it near characters or lots you spent time and love on)īuy your Sim a computer and desk to put it on.Ĭlick on the computer, and look for the option MC Command Center. Download the newest version, and all the bits, here:
MC Command Center is a powerful Sims 4 mod, which enables a bunch of cheat codes and debug codes from handy in-game menus.
I’m duplicating her method here, just in case those posts become unavailable in future (never trust another internet company with data you want archived!)
This tutorial is almost certainly also useful for other mods testing, but we’re specifically focused on Careers Mods today.īefore we start, I want to credit Bonxie from the Sims forum whose post showed me how to do this. Doing this in response to every change you make will ensure your thinking process is clean and precise, and you don’t add 90 features to a thing and then have to go through them all to spot the error. You should test your Mods throughout the creation process – add a bit, predict how your new bit will behave, check that it works as expected, if not go back and try again.
